Roy Roy has flown from Cyprus and is in foster in the Bristol area. He is a small boy about 10 kg and is about 3.5 years old. He is a shy boy so needs another resident dog in the home. This is what his foster mum says He came to the Uk in January to me as a foster. He is a young active dog and has been super friendly with all the dogs he’s met from small to large. He’s met my cat, he barked but hasn’t tried to chase her (she doesn’t run away) so I think he would be fine. He’s house trained and has happily slept downstairs with my other dogs all night. Roy needs a very special person(s) with endless patience as he is so scared of being touched, He comes when we call and will take a treat but isn’t keen on being touched. He’s learning from my dogs and sometimes he’ll now let me stroke him. He wants to be with us now and lies near us rather than in another room. As soon as we get up he follows us so I think it wouldn’t be too long with the right home that he would enjoy cuddles. He is good on the lead, not strong at all. Roy needs a home with a very secure garden and at least one other dog, male or female, I have both. He’s been around our grandchildren but runs away from them so I think resident small children wouldn’t be ideal. Prospective adoptees would need to be prepared to come and meet him and get to know him to maintain his new found confidence. He really is a lovely boy and I can’t wait to see him flourish. He is neutered and vaccinated and just needs the right home for him to relax and be the perfect boy we know he can be.
