Molly’s Story

Molly’s Story

Molly is an old female dog who no doubt lived in a hunter’s cage for most of her life. Of course the dogs in the shed with her weren’t neutered so she has had pregnancy after pregnancy. She is now over ten years old. She has had one litter after another every year for all of her 10 years or more. So sad! For what she’s been through she’s got lots of energy and affection.

When she was found on a local farm she had recently had a large litter of hunting pups that are still with her now at the shelter. They are about 6 months old.

They noticed a bulge in her tummy and decided to take her straight to the vet. They did x-rays and ultrasound and had to operate straight away as she had an infection in the uterus and she was already pregnant again! She also had Ehrlichia and Anaemia so things didn’t look good for her. Luckily this amazing old girl pulled through and made it!

This old girl has had a rough life. We’ve managed to find her the most amazing home, but now we needed to cover the costs of her travel to the UK so that she could finally find out what it’s like to be a loved pet. So we started a fund raiser to see if we could buy her that one-way ticket on the freedom flight.

And yes, you guessed it, you all did us proud yet again by donating to her fund raiser so we could buy her a one-way ticket on the happy plane out of the life of hell she’d had.

Just look at the photos her adopter has kindly shared with us 😍 We are so grateful to them for taking Molly in and giving her the chance of a warm cosy retirement with love and a family to call her own.

This is what your money does when we fund raise for dogs like Molly!!
