Meet DARIUS !! ❤️ a true little fighter !

Approx 6 months, pocket pointer mix

Lefkara Shelter - Cyprus

What a brave boy Darius has been so far in his short life .At only 3 months we suspect he was taken out for hunting then likely dumped .So small and vulnerable , desperately trying to fend for himself in the village of Lefkara , he was spotted several times by his rescuer , he couldn't be caught though for months ! Dodging humans at all costs
Meanwhile he became more skinny and skittish , we were becoming so worried , we could see him withering with every week
Eventually he succumbed to being caught , he was ready to be rescued

Once at the shelter, we could see how small and frail he actually was .A baby , out there by himself for months , he made our hearts hurt for how he must have struggled

Darius is a shy little boy .He's had to watch his back for weeks , find his meals. He'd learnt to be so anxious 😟

He's had a couple of weeks at the shelter now .He's learning to trust his care giver although he can be shy at first with people he doesn't know , he warms when food is involved!

He's coming out of his shell more and more with every day. What we're now seeing are glimpses of a deliciously loving soul . Desperate to be loved !
He comes forward in an anxious manner but learning now, this outreaches hands strokes him , has food ! It's soft and kind unlike most he's experienced before

He adores to be around other dogs .They support him to feel secure and trusting .He's an incredibly sociable little chap with other dogs. We feel it's pretty essential he goes to a home with another playful dog or two .

Darius will need a quieter home .he'll be nervous at first, needing some time , patience and understanding to help him discover his true potential

This little boy has some growth , developing and evolving to go through !
He has buckets of potential to blossom into a loving and confident dog .His family will be helping him on his journey to find himself .

To have survived on the streets at such a young age , Darius has shown to be a strong character too, with resilience us humans can only admire
