Echo - 4 month old collie / pointer cross In Simba shelter - Cyprus Just a baby , Echo was found wondering the streets of Cyprus , crying having been separated from his mum and siblings .They sadly were no where to be seen .He was all alone , fending for himself So dehydrated from the scorching heat , skinny from days maybe weeks without food , covered in ticks , sucking the blood from his little body, he had little energy when he was found What a relief he must have felt to be rescued . Once back at the shelter , he was incredibly grateful for a meal and fresh water .The staff removed all the ticks to help him feel more comfortable The poor boy slept for hours recovering from his ordeal Echo's settled into the shelter but quite frightened and overwhelmed by the whole experience of being in a shelter. It's loud , full of bigger dogs ,shelters are scary places for puppies But Echo is already shown himself to be the sweetest of puppies Desperate for the love his mum should be giving him .He adores the close comfort of humans He needs all the reassurance he can get in the way of plenty of kisses and cuddles He burys his face into chest when he needs security which is both endearing and heart wrenching at the same time .He pulls at the staffs heart strings all the time Echo needs a future away from the shelter. He mustn't grow up there .He's already fearful and worried alot of the time .We try very hard to find homes for puppies in shelters as a matter of urgency because of the extreme environment their expected to live in It's not good for their little body's and souls Echo is very sociable with other dogs getting security and reassurance from their presence.We think he would be well placed in a home with another dog or dogs to play with , learn from and take his lead from Being a puppy , he could learn to live with a cat He's been a lovely gentle boy with visiting children to the shelter, he could live with families who have children 5 yrs and over No baby should have to suffer like this in a hot, dusty ,noisy , scary shelter Echo is looking for a loving home and people to come and rescue him from that place Could you be that person to help Echo ?
