This beautiful girl, Dolly, spends her days crying. She is very stressed in the shelter and needs her chance. Some dogs are very resilient in the shelter. Some are resilient at first before it takes its toll. Unfortunately for Dolly she has struggled since day one. She is simply beside herself with abandonment, wondering what she has done wrong to find herself in such a situation. Although she entered the shelter as a ’stray’, it’s highly likely that she came from a home environment. Dolly is approx 2.5 years old. She’s a large girl and full of energy when she gets the chance to interact with humans. She is keen to learn & is obsessed with balls! She lives in a pack with both males and females of a various sizes. She could be homed with another dog but, to be honest, she just longs to meet her forever person or family. That is all she needs. She simply adores people. Initially excitable (just like the majority of shelter dogs who get minimal interaction), she soon calms down and becomes very cuddly and sweet. Dolly has been in the shelter since November 2024 and requires a patient, understanding home. Dogs like Dolly who find themselves in such a situation often display profound gratitude and form exceptionally deep bonds of companionship and loyalty. Having experienced hardship, we know Dolly will cherish the love and stability of a new home, demonstrating her appreciation through unwavering devotion. We know for a fact that Dolly’s home is out there, it’s just a case of her person/family seeing her post. There truly is a home for every dog. Please share her story so we can make it happen sooner rather than later.
