As our Volunteer Grants Officer, you will play a key role in identifying funding opportunities and writing compelling grant applications to help fund our rescue efforts. This is a flexible, remote opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of dogs in desperate need — while gaining valuable experience in grant writing and charity fundraising.
Key Responsibilities
- Research suitable grants from trusts, foundations, corporate donors, and other funding bodies
- Write and submit high-quality grant applications tailored to funders’ priorities
- Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and reporting requirements
- Collaborate with the team to gather statistics, case studies, and impact data for applications
- Keep accurate records of applications, outcomes, and funder feedback
- Build and maintain positive relationships with current and potential funders
What We’re Looking For
- Some experience with writing or supporting grant applications (training can be provided)
- Excellent written communication and research skills
- Organised, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines
- A genuine passion for animal welfare and the mission of Saving Souls Animal Rescue
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
