All about this dog…
Bones
Bones is 2.5 years old and is named due to his condition once he arrived at the shelter. He was nothing but skin and bone. Completely starved and mistreated. We suspect he was a hunters dog - made to go hungry to ‘make him a better hunter’. Bones is a pointer cross and ready to find his forever home. Bones came into the shelter in May and has since been well cared for and put on some weight. At first he was cautious and fearful, trying to work out his new found environment. Several months later, he is friendly and curious of everyone he meets. He’s happy to be getting regular meals but what he really needs now is a human to give him the life he deserves. He enjoys any time he gets to spend with people. He’s super cuddly - true to the pointer breed. He shares a space with both male and female dogs of similar size and can be homed as an only dog or with females and/or submissive male dogs. After initial excitement to be out of his kennel, Bones walks well on the lead. He is super (!) food oriented and will be a joy to train. Overall, Bones simply adores people and would also be ok with children aged 10+.
