Mau is looking for a home! 😍 Lab -pointer cross Currently in Cyprus Date of birth 5.11.23 ( approximate date ) Once upon a time, in a quiet village, there was a young (approximately 1 year old) black pointer-cross dog named Mau. Born to an abandoned hunting dog mother, Mau’s early life was a struggle. He, his brother, and his mother lived in a small storage shed, scavenging for food each day. Tragedy struck when Mau’s brother and mother were poisoned. Alone and frightened, Mau was rescued by a volunteer who took him in to keep him safe. This marked the beginning of a new chapter in Mau’s life. Despite the hardships, Mau’s playful spirit shone through, with his foster family. Mau was initially terrified of humans, but his new foster family was patient and loving. They introduced him to a warm home, where he met other dogs and even cats, with whom he got along splendidly. Over time, Mau’s fear of humans began to fade. He started to enjoy cuddles and sought them out more and more, showing his gentle and affectionate nature. Mau proved to be an excellent house dog. He was house trained and showed no aggression over food. His foster family discovered that he was extremely active and loved long runs in nature. He would run joyfully with his foster siblings, his spirit soaring as he explored the great outdoors. However, Mau had his challenges. Due to past traumatic experiences, he was still terrified of walking on a leash, most probably due to previous failed attempts to capture him. His foster family worked tirelessly to help him overcome this fear, and each day brought a little progress. Mau is also a very active and athletic boy, muscular and weighting at 27Kg, he is an escape artist, capable of jumping over fence. Mau’s story is one of resilience and hope. He is a loving, playful, and loyal dog who has overcome great odds. Now, he dreams of finding a forever family who will continue to nurture his spirit and give him the love he deserves. Mau is ready to bring joy and companionship to a family who will cherish him as much as he will cherish them. Will you be the one to give Mau his happily ever after?
