Lilly is a little dog with a special talent for making herself at home. She knows exactly where the coziest place in the house is: right on someone's lap. Lilly is incredibly affectionate, loves physical contact, and sees absolutely no reason to sleep separately when she could be curled up next to her human. On walks, she's a star. She walks beautifully on a leash, knows her name very well, and knows how to enjoy life's simple pleasures — rolling around in the grass with her belly up or enjoying a good meal. Lily definitely has her priorities straight! She gets along well with other dogs and is wonderful with children, but she also has a little character of her own and won't let anyone push her around. Cats, however, are not her cup of tea, so a home without cats would be best for her. Lilly handles baths very well, and car rides are no problem as long as she travels in the back seat. The front seat makes her nervous, so she'd much rather stick to the back, where she feels safe and comfortable. Lilly is a lovely combination of tenderness, affection, and an independent spirit. She loves being close to people, enjoys being part of their everyday lives, and seems to consider a human lap a perfectly legitimate place to sleep. We're looking for a home for Lily where her personality will be appreciated, her needs respected, and a spot on someone's lap always available. Winter is approaching, and it will be terribly cold for a little dog like her in the shelter. She deserves a warm place to sleep and a person to curl up beside
