Meet Chomsky 🐾

Chomsky is a gorgeous 8-year-old girl with a big heart, fabulous ears, and a wonderful zest for life. A Dalmatian cross (possibly with Chocolate Labrador), she weighs around 21kg and has beautiful sugar-brown and white colouring, with a lovely speckled chest and paws.

Chomsky is the kind of dog who really wants to be part of your world. She adores her people, loves attention and interaction, and is happiest when she is included, talked to, played with and given things to do. She is clever, eager to please and wonderfully treat-motivated — cheese is definitely the way to her heart! 🧀

She already knows a number of basic commands and is a quick learner. She would absolutely thrive with someone who enjoys teaching her new things and giving her opportunities to use her brain. She loves toys, especially chasing and fetching, and has a playful but well-mannered nature.
A sociable girl

Chomsky has been well socialised with other dogs and genuinely enjoys their company. She has spent extended periods staying with a dog sitter alongside several dogs and a dog-savvy cat, and she is polite and playful when meeting other dogs. She particularly enjoys dogs around her own size or larger and energetic playmates.

She isn't keen on flat-faced (brachycephalic) dogs such as Pugs, as she seems unsure how to read their faces and breathing, so these would best be avoided.

She has also lived happily around a cat and shows curiosity rather than a desire to chase cats she encounters outside.
Gentle and affectionate

Despite being a little cautious when meeting someone new, Chomsky quickly warms up with a gentle approach, a soft voice and a few treats. Once she knows you, she is very happy to be stroked and handled and has no issues with having her paws, legs, face, ears or body touched.

She takes treats beautifully and very gently, even when it's her absolute favourite cheese!

There is no known history of aggression, guarding or biting, and she is comfortable having her food bowl handled while eating.

What Chomsky needs:

Chomsky is currently living in a small apartment and has limited access to the outside world which is leaving her frustrated and bored.

She would therefore love a home where she can have more space, companionship, exercise and mental stimulation. A garden would be a wonderful bonus, but even more important is having people who genuinely want a dog to be involved in their lives.

Her ideal home would be active but calm, with someone around for much of the day rather than leaving her alone for long periods. She doesn't need a chaotic household — in fact, a quieter environment would suit her best — but she does need people who will give her attention, play with her, teach her things and help her feel included.

Older, dog-savvy children (around 8+) could be a good match, provided they understand how to interact respectfully with a dog. Very young children or a loud, unpredictable household may be overwhelming for her.

Chomsky is healthy, with recent blood tests reported as clear, and she has also tested clear on her 4DX screening for Leishmania, ehrlichiosis, anaplasmosis and Lyme disease. She is used to travelling on buses and trains and behaves well in public places.

Chomsky is a lovely, intelligent, affectionate girl who has so much more to give. She isn't looking for a complicated life — she simply wants to be loved, included and given the opportunity to enjoy herself.

She would love a home where she can stretch her legs, explore, play, learn, have canine friends and, most importantly, spend plenty of quality time with her people.

Chomsky is currently in Cyprus looking for a home in the UK.  She will come neutered, vaccinated, chipped and has rescue back up.
