🐾💙 GUNNER — A LITTLE BOY WHO JUST NEEDS TIME TO SHINE 💙🐾

Gunner is a 6-month-old puppy who arrived at the pound on 3rd August. He was incredibly stressed and overwhelmed. It was heartbreaking to see such a young puppy in that state, alone and frightened.

The whole team decided that we had to do everything we could to find him a foster home — because it simply wasn't fair for this little boy to remain in that state. Look at him now, after just a few weeks… 🥹❤️

These are the words of his wonderful foster mum:

« Gunner first arrived as an incredibly timid boy who wasn’t quite sure what to make of the big, scary world around him. But slowly, surely, he’s been discovering that people can be kind, life can be fun, and maybe… cuddles aren’t so bad after all. 🥰

🎾 He LOVES playing with his toys — once he gets going, his cheeky, playful personality really comes out!

❤️ He is coming out of his shell more and more every single day. Still a bit unsure, but secretly… he LOVES a cuddle, especially when it involves a comfy dog bed and a good nap!

🍗 He absolutely LOVES his food, which makes him very easy to train and motivate.

🐕 He is very good with other dogs and absolutely loves having canine company. Having another friendly dog in his future home would be a huge plus for him.

🐾 He is lead trained and house trained. He will even let you know when he needs to go outside for the toilet.

🧠 He already knows how to sit and is learning more tricks!

🥰 He is always wagging his tail — such a lovely sign of the happy little boy he is becoming.

Most importantly, Gunner is learning that the world isn't such a scary place after all. ❤️

Underneath that initial shyness is a sweet, playful and loving little dog who simply needs patience, kindness and time.

He needs someone who will allow him to progress at his own pace and show him that he is safe and loved. We know Gunner will make a wonderful companion, just waiting to emerge. 🥹
