🖤 PLEASE SEE FLORENCE. 🖤

We honestly don't understand why nobody is interested in this beautiful girl.

Florence came into Troulloi Dog Pound in mid-July.

She is a little over 2½ years old, weighs 26kg and is a lovely medium-sized girl.

When she arrived, she was skin and bones. 💔 We don't know how long she had been wandering the streets, but she was in desperate need of help.

With veterinary care, good food and lots of love from our volunteers, Florence has made an incredible recovery.

Florence loves people, including children. She enjoys walks and car rides, gets on well with visiting dogs and the other dogs at the Pound, and simply loves being around people and gives the best cuddles!
So why is nobody asking about Florence?

Again, we have to wonder whether this beautiful girl is being overlooked because of what is sometimes called “black-dog syndrome.”

Because when you meet Florence, you don't see a black dog.

You see Florence.

We believe she was once someone's dog. Somewhere along the way, she went from having a home to wandering the streets — and since arriving at the Pound in mid-July, she has spent months living in a cage.

She managed to get through the scorching Cyprus summer here. Now we really don't want her having to spend the winter in the Pound too. ❄️

Florence needs a chance to experience life outside those gates — a warm bed, a family and someone who will love her for the wonderful dog she is. 🖤

🏡 WE NEED A HOME FOR FLORENCE 🏡

If you can't adopt, please consider fostering her until her forever family is found.
And if you can't foster or adopt, please share Florence. Her family could be out there somewhere — we just need to help them find her. ❤️🐾
