Rex Needs a UK Foster or Adopter to Secure His August Flight

We are looking for a foster home in the UK or an Adopter (can do foster with a view to adopt) for Rex, so that he can make the August flight, 

Rex is a GSD cross, approximately 4 - 5 years old, large size -   Currently in foster home in Cyprus.

Rex’s story is one that stays with you. This beautiful GSD cross spent years trapped in a farmer’s hell hole — shut inside a filthy cage 24/7, sleeping on a broken wooden pallet, surrounded by rubbish. No comfort. No kindness. No hope.

But then, his fairy godmother appeared. She opened that cage and gave Rex his first glimpse of freedom. And from that moment, he has been trying so hard to catch up on all the love and life he missed.

Rex is a gentle, loyal boy. He’s great with children (and currently lives happily with an 8 and 9 year‑old). He’s good with the street cats who visit daily, though he’ll chase if they run. With dogs, he’s friendly up close, but at a distance he may bark — simply because he never had any socialisation in his previous life.

He walks beautifully on a lead with a head collar, greets every person with warmth, and has discovered a deep love of water — likely the first time he has ever experienced it. He adores toys, too, something he never had before. Rex missed out on his puppyhood, so he’s joyfully making up for lost time now.

He is everything you’d expect from a GSD cross: loyal, intelligent, affectionate, and deeply devoted.

Sadly his foster mum in Cyprus cannot keep him, and Rex is running out of time.
He must secure a UK foster home or adopter (foster‑to‑adopt welcome) to make his August flight. This is his chance — maybe his only chance — to finally step into the life he deserves.

If you can offer Rex safety, love, and a place to land, you won’t just be giving him a home, you’ll be giving him the future he’s been waiting for.

He is not a dog that can live in a flat, he will need a garden and of course a paddling pool 😊.  Ideally a foster or adopter that has experience with GSD's or large breeds.  He can live with a single person, a couple or family.

He will be neutered, fully vaccinated - including Rabies vaccination.  He will be microchipped, blood tested for Leishmania and for Brucella Canis, he will be wormed and flea treated before flight and have his own passport.
