BUFFY female pointer cross, 6 months old, medium sized, in Cyprus

Please don’t let Buffy be overlooked.

Buffy is only around 6 months old, but she has already had such a hard start in life. Buffy was found as a stray and we suspect she was an abandoned hunting dog. Found alone on the streets of Cyprus, this beautiful medium-sized pointer cross is now waiting in a Cyprus shelter for the one thing she needs most — a kind, patient person to show her that she is finally safe and truly loved. She may be a little unsure at first, but underneath that cautious exterior is a gentle, affectionate girl who wants so badly to trust. This is often the case with hunting dogs as they have come from a life of mistreatment

Once Buffy knows you, her loving nature shines through. She is sweet, gentle, shows no aggression, takes treats softly, and can happily live with other dogs. She walks well, travels fine in the car, and has a lovely medium energy that would suit many homes. 

She could live with a single person, a couple, or a family with children aged 12+, as long as introductions with children are calm and gentle. Buffy does need time to build confidence, especially around new people and sudden movements, and she will need patient guidance and training to help her blossom into the happy dog she is meant to be.

What Buffy needs now is not perfection — just someone willing to give her a chance. Someone who will understand that trust takes time, that healing is quiet, and that the most beautiful bonds are often the ones that are built slowly. Please, if you have room in your heart and home for a dog who will repay your patience with the deepest love, consider Buffy. She has waited long enough.
