Luna-  approx 8 yr old Segugio girl 

From defeated to triumphant, Luna's journey already has been a truly phenomenal one just in the few weeks shes been been at the shelter 

Her story was played out all over her brutalised body. Anyone familiar with the plight of hunting dogs in Cyprus will understand what shes endured in life on this earth
  
Totally emaciated,  covered in scars and sores ,she looked like a walking skeleton when caught by her rescuer.Clearly shes had litter upon litter , maybe passed around for multiple hunters to neglect , starve and abuse .She needed a period of stay at the vets to gather enough energy to survive .The vet was concerned that she may have gone too far into starvation to recover but fortunately Luna is a fighter ! 

Since entering the shelter , we can now see the beautiful soulful spirit this girl truly is 
Luna is completely over joyed to have some kind and loving attention . An incredibly precious dog  who hasn't allowed her neglected past life shape her future 

Shes still prepared to trust,  still prepared to love,  still prepared to give her heart ❤️ 

Regular good quality food , vet care and  human love has transformed Luna into a girl ready for a second chance at life  ! Shes got so much more to give and is ready to give it! 

Luna has been a good girl with the other dogs at the shelter .She is food guarding around other dogs  presently .This is to be expected with starved dogs but this  generally reduces as time goes on but its something to be mindful initially if she joins another dog however she could be just as happy as an only dog 
An adult only or older children household would be recommended only because we want Luna to have some peace 

Luna is still active however she would love some comfort in her life , something she likely has never experienced. We can see her in cosy beds , snuggled on sofas , enjoying all that dogs should experience  , everything she's missed out on. Luna deserves a 5 star home to retire to after everything  shes been through
