💛 Please help Ellie find the home she’s been waiting for 💛
Ellie didn’t choose the start she had. Found alone and abandoned on the streets of Cyprus, she could have lost trust in the world—but she didn’t. Instead, Ellie has held on to her gentle heart, her kindness, and her quiet hope that someone, somewhere, will choose her.
She is a sweet, calm girl with a playful sparkle that appears once she feels safe. Ellie adores the company of other dogs and takes great comfort from them, often looking to them for reassurance. In the home, she’s clean, settles beautifully, and sleeps peacefully through the night.
Ellie loves her walks, enjoys learning (especially when food is involved!), and is slowly blossoming as her confidence grows. She would thrive in a loving home, with another calm dog, where patience, kindness, and understanding will allow her true personality to shine.
Ellie doesn’t ask for much. Just a safe place. A gentle hand. And a family who will love her for the rest of her life. If you can offer that, she will give you her whole heart in return. 🐾💛

Ellie can be re-homed with children over 12 years.
Ellie has been neutered, fully vaccinated, blood tested and has a passport.

⭐⭐This is what her foster dad says:

Ellie is generally calm but has a playful side. She has made friends with two dogs she regularly walks with and will chase around with them. She shows no fear even when playfully bowled over by one of her friends who is 40kg.

I have yet to see her react negatively to any dog, and any dog react negatively to her. She just seems to get on with all dogs, showing interest, but respect for their boundaries.

She is ok on the lead but does tend to zig zag about a bit. That will need a tiny bit more work, but my priority has been to improve her confidence, not checking her on the lead.

She loves her food (especially meat), which makes training easier. The downside to that, is any food left within her range is gone! She shows no sign of any food aggression, and has been fed alongside my own dog, from day one, without problem.

She is clean in the house and sleeps the whole night without any disturbance. I have not checked her in a crate. She was very reluctant initially to be clipped on the lead, but that is getting better all the time. She also shows no signs of separation anxiety. I have not yet been able to cat test her. She has no known health issues.

I feel Ellie would benefit from a home with another dog. She clearly is happier around other dogs and she certainly looks up to my dog. She is also more relaxed with women, rather than men. I feel sure that she would learn to trust a male owner, but it would take longer.

Although she is relaxed in the house, she greatly enjoys her walks, and she is an athletic and speedy little thing. She really has a lovely nature that is now starting to show itself. As one would expect from a dog of her hound type breeding, she does appear to have a prey drive. But up until now, this does not appear to be excessive.

She will benefit from her training to continue. e.g.
Improve her walking on a lead to heel. She darts about a bit.
Continue working on her recall
She is starting to sit on command, but this needs some more work.
Start working on other commands such as “down” etc. ⭐⭐

Please note - Ellie has not been cat tested
