Hello, I’m Ruger! 🐾
If you remember me from my street days in Limassol, you might hardly recognize me now! I used to be a shy, fearful boy hiding in the shadows, but with time, patience, and love in my foster home, I have truly blossomed into a playful, affectionate, and loyal companion.

"Ruger loves peanut butter and yogurt in the evening—best when it’s frozen! 😂 He loves his ball and would run all day fetching, with very high drive and focus. Being by the sea around water makes him so happy, and he loves the company of other dogs. He is slowly starting to trust males, and he absolutely loves cuddles and affection."

My Personality & Favorite Things
 Ball Enthusiast: I have a high drive and incredible focus when it comes to fetch. I could run and play all day!
 Beach & Water Lover: Being near the sea makes my heart sing. Trips to the water are my absolute favorite.
 Cuddle Bug: Once I know I’m safe, I adore cuddles and affection. I've come such a long way from the scared pup who couldn't take treats!
 Evening Snack Connoisseur: My favorite nightcap? Frozen peanut butter and yogurt! 🍦😋
Social Life & Boundaries
 Other Dogs: I absolutely love the company of other dogs! Having a dog buddy helps me feel secure and confident.
 People & Environments: I am slowly learning to trust men and build confidence around them. However, large gatherings, loud environments, and noisy people still overwhelm me, so I need a peaceful home.
 Children: Children make me anxious and scared, so I am strictly looking for an adults-only home where I can feel completely safe and relaxed.

My Ideal Home
 An adults-only household in a quiet environment away from busy, noisy gatherings.
 A family who loves outdoor fun (especially trips to the water and games of fetch!) paired with plenty of quiet cuddle time on the sofa.
 Ideally a home with another friendly dog to keep me company.
 Patient adopters who will continue helping me build my confidence at my own pace.

Health Note: Ruger was previously treated for Anaplasma and is Leishmania positive. He is happy, healthy, full of life, and doesn't let it slow him down one bit!

Ruger is in foster in Devon. He is neutered, vaccinated, chipped, treated for parasites, has his own pet passport and rescue back up from Saving Souls Animal Rescue.
