Hello, I’m Micky. I am a petite Mini Pinscher mix with a very quiet and sensitive soul. My journey here wasn't easy; I was found wandering the road and taken in by a kind lady, but sadly her landlord wouldn't let me stay, so I found myself at the shelter. When I first arrived, I was so terrified that I didn't want anyone to touch me. It took a whole month of patience before I let my favorite human even stroke my face, but now I greet them every morning with a happy heart.

I am a "low-pressure" kind of dog. I am super shy with strangers and I am very fearful of forced interaction. I need a family who understands that I like to be the one to choose when it’s time for a cuddle. If you sit quietly and let me come to you, you’ll find that I am a deeply loyal and friendly boy once the ice is broken. Surprisingly, I am very brave with children! I recently met a little girl on a school visit and let her stroke me, and I am very calm around toddlers.

I am a social star when it comes to other dogs. I am the "big brother" to my roommate, Nina—she adores me and follows me everywhere! I have a very mellow, low-energy personality and I get along with everyone from bouncy puppies to quiet seniors. I find a lot of confidence when I have a canine friend by my side, so I would love a home with another calm, older dog I can follow and learn from.

I am still learning about the world of "walkies" and harnesses, so I need a patient home that won't rush me. I’m not a big fan of being picked up, and I prefer traveling in my crate where I feel safe and secure. My ideal home is a calm, quiet sanctuary where I can simply "exist" alongside you until I’m ready for attention. I don't need much—just a corner of your home, a doggy friend, and the freedom to grow at my own pace.
If you have a quiet home and a patient heart, I would love to be your tiny shadow.
