Loki flew from Cyprus to find his forever home and is currently in Northumberland looking for his forever home .He is just I year old and is a pointer cross with maybe some ridgeback This is what his foster mum says about him Loki is a happy, friendly curious, confident boy. Hes very affectionate and loves cuddles. He follows his people all over and loves to be involved in everything you do. Hes great with people of all ages, men, women and children. He just wants to greet everyone and be everyone’s friend. He is a big strong boy though and can sometimes be clumsy so can knock the littler ones over accidentally. For that reason I’d say school age children upwards are best unless he’s supervised. He just doesn’t appreciate his own size and strength. He is a real lap dog and prefers to be sat on your knee despite his size. He is great with all dogs. When he sees one he will lie down and wait for them to approach then jump up and play. He’s very social with other dogs. He has seen horses, cows and sheep and is okay with them.. He is not good with cats, birds or other small furries. He is on a long line in the woods where we know we will see them. His recall is good on the field or beach. He will chase a ball and bring it back but the ‘drop’ is a work in progress. He will swap it for treats. He loves a stick! And will always bring back the biggest one he can carry from every walk. He is a sensitive soul and will try hard to make friends if he makes a mistake and you tell him off. He is desperate to please.. He sleeps overnight with no issues in his crate. We’ve never left him more than 3hrs. We tell him ‘time for bed’ and fill his kong with bits of cheese, peanut butter or plain yoghurt and he just licks that then settles straight away till next morning. He is confident and loving and very eager to please but is high energy. Typical active puppy. He is clean in the house day and night and will ask to go in the garden when needed. He has no health issues.. He is great in the car. I think Lokis perfect home is an active family who will take him out for walks and to interesting places. He loves the beach and woods. I think another slightly older sociable resident dog would be great for him, to show him the ropes, but also give him a friend to play with in the garden between walks, when his humans are busy. He can’t be homed with a cat or other small furry. He is a lovely dog; loyal loving and friendly. He deserves the best home that can give him what he needs.
