Dobby is a sweet and gentle dog with a kind heart. He gets along well with other dogs and avoids fights or problems. He loves to play, especially with balls. When Dobby first came to the shelter, he was shy and not in good shape. But he quickly became more confident. He enjoys being around people and learns quickly with training. He’s always happy to see volunteers and visitors, and he loves going for walks with anyone. Dobby is very loving and emotional. He gets attached to people and wants to be close to them all the time. He may have a hard time being alone at home because he craves attention. At the shelter, he often barks or jumps to get people to notice him. When someone stops to be with him or lets him out, he calms down right away. He used to share a kennel with another dog and did very well. After that dog was adopted, Dobby started looking for more attention from people. That’s why we think he’d do best in a home with another dog to keep him company. Dobby has been good with children, rides well in the car, and behaves calmly at the vet—even without a muzzle. Dobby has leishmania — a common and fully manageable condition. It’s absolutely nothing to worry about: he just takes one small tablet a day, and it doesn’t affect his energy, mood, or overall health.
