REGAL REX ! ❤️ , Kangal cross , approx 18 months old 40 kg

This beautiful boy named Rex was found straying in Nicosia, sadly dumped .Found is a malnourished and sorry state ..the poor boy was found just in time

No one ever came forward to claim him so he found himself entering a large municipality shelter 😢 For months now , no one has taken an interest in this striking and loving dog

Dogs like Rex ,due to their size, often find themselves languishing in kennels for months / years
We really dont want that future for this gentle giant Rex .

People are put off by his size eventhough so such a soft guy
Rex has lots of amazing qualities in spite of his size
Hes remarkably sweet and affectionate with people. Adores fuss, craves a good kiss and cuddle .Already hes sweet nature has meant hes a firm favourite with the shelter staff

Rex isn't the greatest fan of other dogs so we recommend a home with other pets

He will need a home with some space with a largish garden
Hes energy is medium .He'll need steady short walks due to his size
Kangals are a sturdy breed who pocess some incredible characteristics .A working breed , Rex would appreciate mental stimulation at well as physical. They often benefit from having a purpose, a small job !
They are loyal , protective and incredibly loving
An adopter who appreciates these large breed qualities with some experience would be advantageous

Rex isnt cat tested however we wouldnt recommend living with small furries due to his size
Families with older children over 12 yrs are welcome to apply

We don't want Rex to loose the best years of his life a prisoner in a cage , too often the fate of large breeds
His size shouldn't matter .Hes a dog !He Has similar needs to any other dog .yet his size will work against him , sadly we see this all the time in rescue
