All about this dog…
Wolfie
Wolfie has one of those personalities you feel the moment you meet him. The second people appeared at the kennels, he was there — tail wagging, eyes bright, completely delighted that someone had come to see him. Friendly. Open. Impossible to ignore. He didn’t hold back on affection. In fact, he jumped straight into it. His initial enthusiasm was infectious — a greeting that burst out of him with pure joy, then continued even as the excitement began to settle. It certainly won us over. Within minutes, people were crouched down, hands buried in that thick, unbelievably soft coat, smiling without realising it. Wolfie is estimated to be 2–3 years old and is a large boy at around 35–40kg. He’s active, playful, and full of life — the sort of dog who enjoys being part of the action and loves being with people. But here’s what really stood out. When asked to sit, he did. Straight away. The excitement paused. He focused. Held eye contact. And waited. There’s a strong sense that Wolfie wants to engage and understands direction — especially once he’s had time outside the kennel environment and the initial buzz of seeing people fades. As the visit went on, you could see that shift. His approach softened. He came in calmly for cuddles. Stayed close. Wolfie would thrive with someone who enjoys an active, affectionate dog and can offer structure and guidance. Because of his size and enthusiasm, he’d be best suited to an adult or older-teen household, ideally with someone experienced with larger dogs who can help him continue learning how to channel all that joy. He may do best as an only dog, or with confident dogs of a similar size, and would benefit from continued training — something he appears very responsive to. Wolfie is: • Neutered • Vaccinated • Healthy • Passport ready • Able to travel to the UK Right now, Wolfie is doing his best from inside a kennel. But everything about him suggests a dog who would flourish with space, routine, and people to love. If you’re looking for a big-hearted companion with a playful soul — or know someone who might be — please share Wolfie’s story or get in touch. Some dogs don’t just want a home. They want to be part of your world.
