Dixie’s lovely brother Dean has unfortunately lost his offer of a home this month. Dixie is already reserved (she was a popular girl!) so we are hoping there is someone else out there for Dean! Just like his sister, Dean was a ‘failed hunting dog’ - abandoned by lowlife hunters. The same old story again and again in Cyprus. Dean is a pocket pointer (gsp) and approximately 3 years old. He is a goofy boy! He makes the shelter staff laugh with his silliness, which is rather endearing. You can tell he is an extremely good hearted boy that is loving, playful, and curious. He lives in a pack at the shelter and gets along great with all the dogs there. He can bark at dogs he doesn’t know, but we aren’t sure if this is due to the other dog or whether it’s more the leash which he is not fully used to yet. Regardless, this should resolve with some exposure to new environments and once he is used to regular walks and the feeling of being leashed. Dean can also be fearful if he is unsure of a situation. But once he trusts you he will know that he is safe and has nothing to fear.
