Casper is now officially one of the longest residents at Simba shelter
Why ? You may ask is such a handsome lad still not found a home

We can only surmise at some of the possible reasons
He's over 4 yrs old , most adoptions are for younger dogs
He's bigger , most want medium sized fur babies
He's black and tan ! Believe it or not this also goes against him !
Casper doesn't get on with most males and is selective with girls
Most adopters want a dog perceived to be friendly from the get go

We get it ! However for wonderful dogs like Casper , their constantly on the back foot, often resulting in them languishing in shelter kennels from months and sometimes years becoming more stressed and unhappy with every passing day

Casper sadly falls into this category 😔

Yet , Casper is a profoundly wonderful dog on so many levels
Not only is he incredibly handsome but clever with it too
Casper would be very well suited to an adopter willing to take the time to get to know him , train him , invest and committ to him .Because he's so bright , he'll be a hugely rewarding dog to train and teach , he's so willing and eager to please who ever spends a little time with him at the shelter

Casper loves it when volunteers come to the shelter .He adores human contact, soaks up any attention he gets , enjoys every kiss and cuddle that comes his way
Affection and close contact with humans is high on his agenda

He is a strong boy with medium to high energy levels
We'd re commend a home that recognises he needs both mental and physical stimulation
Casper for instance could make a great hiking or running partner .He will need an active lifestyle to keep his energy levels in check

We feel Casper would be better suited to a home without any pets
Who have some doggy experience, who also realise a new rescue dog may take some invested hard work to help them learn about their new life and home

However the rewards will be plentiful ! Casper will give back ten fold! To the person who helps him escape his sad shelter life

He just needs to be seen by that incredible person , willing to help a Cypriot rescue dog find a happy future ❤️
