We realise the importance of adopter confidence when looking to rescue a dog. So hopefully our adopter reviews from our current adopters will show how much we put into rehoming dogs from Cyprus to the UK. The main founders in the team have over 10 years experience each and have helped find loving homes for 1000s of dogs.

We really wanted to rescue a dog having rescued 6 cats so far. I feel the UK rescue centres either didn’t have the right, low prey drive dogs, or would not help us find a cat friendly dog ( being offered a XL Bully at one)! My friend told me about her dog from Saving souls, so I did my homework & with the help of Jan, Elena & the lovely Sophia, we chose Archie. Cat , dog & child tested!!! He is the most beautiful soul we could have chosen!!! Our timid cat loves him to bits, he’s great with little kids & very well behaved around other dogs!!! He’s absolutely perfect for us & everyone that meets him falls in love!!!! We can’t thank saving souls enough…so much we have just rescued another little dog for my mum, so far he is perfect for her!! I will be doing a write up for him later.
I also have to say what a well oiled machine it is getting these dogs to the UK, I’ve met 2 of the drivers, Lara & Colin, you can see how much they care about these dogs too!!!
Amazing work & I wouldn’t hesitate if your thinking of adopting from Saving Souls…do it & give a dog a forever home.
Thank you so much for your kind words Joanna and for adopting through us and spreading the word xxx
We had been looking for a companion for our Cyprus rescue dog for years, but hadn't come across a dog who felt right. We saw Ruby's sweet face on Facebook and after reading her story we felt she might be the one so we started our application straight away. We heard back from Jan very quickly who asked for more information about our resident dog and what sort of life we could offer to Ruby. We quickly found out we sounded like a good match for her and a home check was arranged. Before we knew it our girl was booked onto the next freedom flight and we had decided to rename her Clover.
We were kept updated throughout the entire adoption process, Clover's fosterer sent us some lovely videos of Clover and her litter of puppies, we were provided with all the information we asked for and more. When the day came for Clover to fly over we were kept updated throughout the whole process by Jan and the van driver. The handover was very smooth and it was the so emotional to meet our girl for the first time. She has been here 7 weeks already and we are so amazed at how confident and loving she is. We love her so much and she has bonded beautifully with our resident dog.
The information provided by Saving Souls about training and settling a rescue dog was very helpful, even though we knew a lot about rescuing previously we read some great strategies to use and we feel this is partly why Clover has settled in so quickly. Clover had a litter of 11 puppies and Jan created a group chat for us too all stay in touch which is lovely, and it is clear from how Jan and Clover's fosterer have been checking in with us since her adoption that they care deeply about every dog they save.
If you are looking to rescue we highly recommend Saving Souls. Rescuing a dog can be a challenging journey but it is so worth it. Saving Souls make the process of adoption run as smoothly as possible and are always there to give advice should you need it. Thank you Saving Souls for all the hard work you do 🙂
Thank you for your kind words and for adopting our dear Ruby xxxx
I stumbled across Saving Souls when looking for somewhere to adopt. My partner and I knew we wanted a puppy and when looking on the website we fell in love with Nox.
After what felt like the longest wait from January until April when he could fly, we could finally bring Nox to his forever home. He’s the perfect fit for us and slots into our lives perfectly. Everyone who meets him adores him and the amount his confidence has grown since adopting him is so rewarding to see.
I’d recommend Saving Souls to anyone looking to adopt a dog, they were so helpful with the adoption process and made it completely fuss free. Plus they’re on hand to help and answer any questions post-adoption.
We’re so happy and adore our little puppy, and I’m so grateful for Saving Souls getting him to us safely and as stress-free as possible.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for adopting through us xxx
We have rescued 4 dogs in total from different rescues.
Saving souls Cyprus was by far the easiest to deal with
although all rescues do a fantastic job.I would say the driver
that delivered Roy and several other dogs by van deserves more
praise for his efforts.
We dont know what mixed breed Roy is but he is the most
adorable dog you could ever wish for.Saving Souls do a
fantasic job.If you cant have a dog of your own please consider
a monthly donation to help these poor animals.
Keep up the good work (it dosn't go un noticed)
Thank you for your kind words Phil and for adopting through us. We will be sure to pass on the compliments to the courier drivers. Thank you xx
We arranged to become fosters to help the dogs on life’s journey, little did we know how much of a foster fail we’d be. We have had cookie who was yassou for almost 3 months now. It was instant love at first sight. She is our second dog through saving souls and she is the sweetest most gentle bundle of energy ever.
The foster was over before we even got her home for the first time and she has slotted into our lives perfectly and our other rescue Noah has a wee play mate now, can’t recommend saving souls enough they have given us 2 bundles of joy that have gave us so many laughs along the way.
Thank you saving souls for little cookie we are very blessed to have 2 saved souls
Thank you so much for your kind words and for adopting Cookie and Noah and giving them the best life xxx
I adopted Mavis, a pointer cross, in April 2021, and she'll be 2 in December. She is a total joy and I am so glad I adopted from Saving Souls. The whole experience of the process was great, right from the first time I got in touch to enquire about her - loads of communication, lots of photos and videos and lots of information and help for settling her in. The application and home check process was also really thorough and reassuring. Jan still takes the time now to check in on her and her siblings. Its a brilliant organisation and I would really recommend it if you are thinking of adopting a dog.
Thank you Rhiannon for your kind words and for opening your heart and home to Mavis xx
I was looking for another puppy/dog after the sudden death of my 12 month old pup in summer of 2021. It was by chance I had stumbled across Saving Souls Rescue on Facebook. I kept seeing lots of dogs looking for homes but it wasn’t until December I saw my own puppy’s advertisement and knew that’s the one I wanted. I was nervous at first for many reasons, was the charity genuine, what if me and Nyx don’t get on (our first meet would be picking her up from the services). But, as soon as I picked her up in January I knew I had made the right decision. Everything before meeting her had gone smoothly, the communication and home inspection and then receiving the wonderful news I had been successful. Fast forward 6 months and Nyx is honestly everything I could of wanted. She’s very loyal and protective of me, we bonded so quickly to my surprise. Her recall is coming along wonderfully, she has beautiful loose lead walking and is full of character. I think she thinks she’s Bend it Like Beckham with her balls. We have slight reactivity and trust issues with new people but we’re making absolute waves. I can’t recommend Saving Souls enough, they have a lovely Facebook group of other people and their adopted furbabies. It’s wonderful to see the dogs all flourish. The other members helped my concerns and worries and my heart has honestly never been so full of love and joy. I know Nyx is certainly thankful and thriving with me and that makes us a happy household.
Thank you Joanne for your kind words and opening your heart and home to Nyx xx
We have had Ronnie for four months and he is just perfect for us. Saving Souls Animal Rescue look after the dogs very well and really care about them. Ronnie is just like they said he was. If you are thinking of rescuing a dog I would thoroughly recommend them. Thank you so much for letting us have Ronnie.
Thank you Sue for your kind words and for adopting Ronnie xx
I adopted morris 15 months ago. Initially we were only talking about possibly adopting a dog, then came across saving souls and spotted morris's profile. As a famiky we all completely fell in love with him. Having two children who were 11 and 7 at the time and 3 cats it seemed impossible to find somehere to adopt from. Jan was amazing along with his kennels dog valley at giving us all the information we needed and getting to know Morris before he came. I was worried intitially about how he would settle and if he and the children would get along ok. There was no need to worry we all fell in love with each other the day he came. He settled so quickley, house trained within days and has won the hearts of everyone who meets him. Wouldnt be without him now and look forward to adopting again in future.
Thank you for your kind words. And thank you so much for adopting through us and opening your hearts and home to Morris. We love helping make a family complete. xxxx
I came across Saving Souls by chance online and on seeing Duke just fell in love with him straight away. Their site gives you lots of information but I was quite worried about adopting a dog from abroad. I already had a rescue dog, and I felt that there might be a problem with them not being able to meet before I took another dog into my home. Initially in the process I was able to talk to Vaso who was looking after Duke and discuss all the things that worried me, she was a great help as was Jan, also, the team member who home checked me was very helpful. I appreciated their wealth of knowledge and obvious care on making sure both dog and person who is adopting were well suited. Vaso sent me loads of videos and messages keeping me in touch with Duke, so I felt I got to know him a little whilst waiting for him to arrive. I have now had him for approximately five weeks and he is lovely, a great big hairy loving boy who has fitted in with my family so much better than I expected. The support and interest after Duke arrived has been great, they are there if you need them for anything, a great bonus I think. I have rescued dogs from various uk centres for many years now and I can say that Saving Souls is the best rescue centre I have ever dealt with. A big thank you to all the team.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write us a review and your kind words Jacqui, it means a lot to us that adopter and their dogs are happy. Thank you for adopting Duke and giving him such a loving home xxxx
