Say hello to BOWIE! : ♥️♥️Our beautiful 8 year old Labrador x- boy! Bowie came to us with his left front leg in a mess. For unknown reasons he would not walk on his paw, but his paw was bent and he would not use it. As a result he had a huge wound from walking using his soft tissue of the leg. X-rays showed that he had no broken bones which was good. He had arthrodesis on his ankle, to straighten the leg, and he had a splinter for 2 months. He is now a happy dog without pain and learned how to use his leg again properly. You can see in the video how happy he is to be able to walk. use his leg and not feel pain! He is improving by the day! He needs to built up more muscle with simple walking. He will always of course have a slight limp (because of arthrodesis) when walking but this will not hinder him from any activity. He has a lovely nature, During the ordeal he went through he was always so cooperative in the change of the splinter, wound dressings, physio, etc. A dog with an amazing temperament and a heart of gold. Very calm around other dogs, very gentle with puppies and very loving with humans. He is now ready for a forever home that will give him the love he never had. What a home can give in a day we can give in a week. He truly needs a home to thrive and show what a gem he is. This beautiful soul got through everything with patience and dignity and never once did we struggle to take care of him. He is an old wise soul. His vet care was covered by the generous donations of kind people who support us, so his adoption fee is reduced and is just the flight cost.
